Expressions 1: 20-30 min of ballet technique and 20-30 min of tap technique. Introduction to ballet positions and barre work, across the floor and center, basic tap steps and combinations, rhythm work. Incorporates the use of props, role playing, and imagination to aid in personal expression and creativity. Focus on movement vocabulary, technique, choreography, stretching, and creativity.
Expressions 2: This class is designed to introduce students to tap and jazz dance. Learning basic tap and jazz skills will allow the students to experience each style of dance while improving their flexibility, sense of rhythm and overall coordination.
Intro to Ballet: Introduces dancers to the fundamentals of classical ballet technique. Each class focuses on proper posture, body positions, and alignment while also building on ballet vocabulary. Class structure and discipline are also emphasized, and musicality and creativity are explored through improvisation

Jazz: Jazz class will focus on learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Broadway, Street and Contemporary to help develop a well-rounded dancer. Class curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with traditional jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations.
Tap: All classes begin with an energetic warm-up, across the floor exercises and combinations. Our beginner students explore the fundamental steps of tap dance, learn tap terminology and develop the ability to maintain correct body placement. Intermediate classes further develop skills, focusing on clarity of sounds and increasing speed as well as dynamics and musicality. Our advanced tap dancers are challenged through improvisational exercises, intricate rhythms and footwork.
Zumba: Zumba® Fitness is a feel-happy workout for adults that combines a motivating fusion of Latin and international music with unique moves and dynamic combinations that allow participants to dance away their worries. It is based on the principle that a workout should be "Fun and Easy to Do" allowing Zumba® Fitness participants to stick to the program and achieve long-term health benefits in both body and mind. A mixture of body-sculpting movements with easy-to-follow dance steps, the routines utilize the principles of aerobic interval and resistance training. A combination of fast and slow rhythms tone and sculpt the body, maximizing caloric output, fat burning and total body toning.
Hip-Hop: High energy class based on commercial/street style; emphasis on choreography and collaboration and developing style and rhythm. Additional focus on movement vocabulary, strengthening and conditioning, and personal expression.
Tumbling: A form of gymnastics which is performed without the assistance of props
Beginner Tumbling No prior tumbling experience is required. Tumblers will learn the proper technique and execution of cartwheels, round-offs and the beginning techniques of standing back handsprings and round-off back handsprings.
Intermediate Tumbling Minimum skills required: cartwheel, round-off, unassisted standing back handspring and unassisted round-off back handspring. Tumblers will learn and strengthen proper technique of standing and running back handspring series. Tumblers will begin to learn the proper technique of round-off back handspring back tucks.
Advanced Tumbling Minimum skills required: standing and running round-off back handspring series (three or more), unassisted running round-off back handspring to back tuck and unassisted standing back handspring(s) to back tuck. Tumblers will work in progression to learn proper technique and execution of: Standing skills: back handspring back tucks, back tucks, back handsprings to layouts and fulls, standing fulls. Running skills: round-off back handspring(s) to layouts and fulls; combination passes.
Lyrical: Lyrical/contemporary is a fluid form of dance done to popular ballads and slower contemporary music. The dancer is taught to interpret his or her movement with feeling, motion and style. They will learn to tell a story or create the picture of the song. This style combines the fluid beauty of ballet with the more sharp moves in jazz. A Ballet or Jazz class is recommended along with lyrical/contemporary to build in technique.
Modern: This style teaches the body to move as an expressive tool; body/spatial/sensory awareness, structures and alignment, stage presence and gesture.
